'pulp fiction'ed

A typical Tarantino movie. A lot of use of the 'f' word(and i mean a lot), a non-linear, unconventional way of narration, a major role of briefcases and obviously his favourite subject - crime, action n gangster movies.

If you judge "Pulp Fiction" as brilliant, you are wrong. Its definitely more than that. Its a classic. Why, u may ask? Is it the acting, the directing, the cinematography, the narration, the soundtrack, the often hillarious and sometimes subtle sense of humour, shattered brain and skull pieces on the rear window of a car... The answer would be yes. But this movie is about much more.

Tarantino has made a movie that's someway different from many other action, gangster or crime movies. What's so different? He tells three stories whose subjects are invariably "cool", a product of mass culture and pregnant with a lot of irony. Also, you cant help but notice the characters as just another human being around the corner, talking about vague, inconsequent, utterly unrelated stuff just as we all do(Samuel and Travolta talking about a foot massage- now how vague can you get), making their living by killing people or selling drugs. They surely aren't another action heroes who you forget as fast as you can twinkle.

It is a masterpiece. A classic - this movie has managed to carve a niche for itself amongst innumerable action/crime movies of all times(and one doesnt wonder at the fact that this genre is the most popular among film makers and audiences alike).

A must see.
